Tickets
IT’S RACE WEEK!!!
I hope you bought your race tickets for this week, if you don’t have them, you can still get them on the Formula1 website.
Hotels
Now that we have our tickets, it’s time to book our flights and hotel.
My two recommendations is Ritz-Carlton Montreal located in the Golden Square Mile, features the 2-Michelin Star Maison Boulud Restaurant, and Four Season Hotel Montreal located in heart of downtown.
Canadian GP History
I believe that everyone who loves and follows the Formula1, is familiar with the fatal and scandal situation from 1999. and unofficial name “Wall Of Champions”.
During the race, the safety car came out four times, which was a lot at the time, and the wall eliminated three world champions. Located at the exit from the narrow and fast chicane and leading straight to the start-finish plane, it requires the driver to be extremely careful when crossing the curb and accelerating suddenly.
Canadian Grand Prix 2011. is the longest race in Formula1 history; incredible 4 hours, 4 minutes and 39 seconds. The reason for this was heavy rain, witch caused the race to be stopped with red flagged for more than 2 hours. Due the chaotic conditions, crashes and 6 safety car deployments, the winner won with the lowest average speed in Formula1 history, witch was only 74,8 km/h.
Taking care of the brakes and drivers reflexibility is the key to success here.
